By: Nensi Hayotsyan

Written: September 4, 2024

School Site Council Election results are in! This past Wednesday, the 30th, Grant High School’s School Site Council (SSC) held elections for its four student positions. The SSC consists of a combination of administrators, teachers, deans, and students who work together to serve the needs of the school. Some of the council's main tasks include analyzing student and school data, identifying areas for improvement, creating and approving the budget, and approving requests by other councils. Consequently, to ensure that student voices are represented within these decisions, the SSC has four student positions available each school year. This year, eight students ran for the position, and the four winners were Nensi Hayotsyan, Sofia Hernandez Rodriguez, Kori Shaw, and Jean Darbo.

Congratulations to all our student representatives! These students will serve to represent all student voices, ensuring that the needs and interests of the student body are represented within important school decisions.
