The Under the Sea Spirit Week is well underway and has already proven to be a very exciting and joyful week. With the Fall Pep-Rally and the Homecoming game on Friday it truly is the best time of the year and the Homecoming dance on Saturday the 19th from 7 PM to 11 PM, will also be a night to remember!
The themes for the Under the Sea Spirit week are as follows; Monday is Stay Afloat Day, where students can dress up as lifeguards or as beachgoers. Tuesday is Sea Creature Day and students can dress up as fish or ocean animals. Wednesday is Class Color Wars, where all grade levels wear different-colored clothing to represent their graduating class. Thursday is Pirates vs Sailors, and Friday is Grant Gear.
The Fall Pep Rally is utilized to promote school spirit and to recognize seniors who are graduating in every fall sport, including girl's volleyball, girl's tennis, and cross country. The Pep Rally is held in the gym in 2nd period and hosts games organized by the Associated Student Body (ASB). during
The Homecoming Football game will prove interesting to watch as the Lancers Football team will be playing Verdugo Hills High School. During halftime, homecoming floats created by clubs and sports teams are scheduled to circle around the football field in trucks or walk to show their school spirit. Tickets for the Homecoming game are $5 and tickets for the Homecoming dance are $20.
